Girls night!

Mac went to bed and daddy went to a movie, so the girls played! We watched tangled, did pedicures, ate popcorn, and Ryann's friend came over.

Earrings

Cute little pudding aka ry ry pudding and pie aka Ryann finally got some new earrings this week. She has had the same ones since she got her ears pierced. She has tried other ones, but they poke her so she doesn't like wearing them.

Memorial day

For memorial day we spent it with some fun friends. We ate and talked and listened to patriotic music and thought about those amazing people who have served our country.

And we watched cute little Mac walk all over the place.

Middle child

Poor middle child Cara was forced to play board games with us tonight.

Splash pad

Here is my big Mac at the splash pad. Walking all around, but scared of the water, go figure. He also recently hates baths....

People used to tell me that babies born in the water loved the water. Not so much in this household. Maybe he'll learn.

And I don't mean he hates the water squirting, which he does, but he hates the little puddles in other areas is the splash pad.

Last day of school

Today was the last day of school for these girls. Cara has loved preschool with miss teddie and Ryann has loved Mrs foster in first grade.

There were some tears shed by Ryann because she will miss her teacher and her school. We had some good cuddle time there. I may have cried a little too.

This was also the week we were supposed to move. Looking at it now I am glad that we will have some time before we go. This way out isn't such a harsh change from friends every day to no friends.

Baby gear shopping

When we were in Nebraska we went shopping for baby gear for Devyn. We made Mac test drive some of stuff to make sure it was going to work for baby Mitchell.

Baby shower for MVP

Today baby Mac and I spent the day in Nebraska celebrating the new baby on the way!

The shower was so cute and decorated by some of Devyn's amazing friends. Erin and I did some if the work, but really Devyn's friends are so awesome and made it amazing.

We can't wait for baby Mitchell to arrive in July!

Swimmers

The girls are so excited that swim season is here! We just got new goggles and need to start up in swim lessons and they will be little fishies once again.

Sickies

Sick kids are no bueno. Mac has strep throat and was diagnosed yesterday. Then today Cara pukes at preschool and has a high fever... so we are getting her and Ryann checked as well because I don't want it to show up tomorrow and we'll end up back here again.

Mac is already feeling better after 24 of antibiotics, so here is to feeling better!

Wedding shenanigans

This weekend our trip was to see rich's cousin get married. I can't believe it, but we haven't seen them since our honeymoon fiasco where rich had to get his appendix out. It was a blast, but imagine our surprise when the 4 and 6 year old were all grown up!

This was also the first time they got to meet our kids. What a fun trip for us to take.  The wedding was gorgeous and the kids had fun and let me take a few pictures.

But now back to real life. Bleh.

Can't life be a permanent vacation?

Happy mother's day

I am overjoyed with the love for these amazing people who have made me a mother. I can't believe that my heavenly father loves me so much that he entrusted me with these sweet spirits. I hope and pray every day that I will be a better mother today than I was yesterday, and I am so thankful that they put up with me through it all.

10 Months

 At 10 months old you started walking!  You just have taken probably 6 steps on your own.

You are still nursing. Some days are better than others, but still doing it. 

You love to stand up.

Cara and Ryann make you laugh the most, but mommy and daddy are still your favorites.

Minutes after we took your 10 month pictures you projectile vomited. Like EVERYWHERE.

(You were our first kid to ever do this)

We found out the next day that you had strep throat.

You need a little haircut to trim up the shaggy hairs. I trim around your ears once a month, but you are getting ready for a clean up from Auntie Devyn.

 You hate to sit still. 

You love yogurt, blueberries, and eggs.

You are getting LOUD.

If you are thirsty you are the loudest.

 You love your blankets and sleep best in your crib. You sleep from 6:30 to 6 in the morning.

Still 6 teeth.

Still in cloth diapers.

You spend 4 days a week with Miss Mary and all of your friends: Liam, Rachel, Matthew, Eliza, and Bruno. (and Cheyenne the dog)

You are 20lbs.

You don't mind the car seat but hate getting strapped in at first. 

You like being outside.

You love playing catch with yourself. You throw the ball, go get it, and then throw it again.

You listen! You come when we ask you to, you go to your sisters if we ask you to, you will crawl away from the stairs if we ask, and you stay pretty close to us. Not quite as crazy as your sisters.

You still like playing with cords and strings. 

Second half of road trip

The road trip wasn't so bad, unless you focus on the part where I let Cara eat almost an entire can of Pringles and then she barfed it up a couple hours later and rich had to hold the barf bag closed for another hour until we stopped to eat.

Other than that it was great.

The kids were good, we played at rest stops, Cara enjoyed her new guy guy that she got for her birthday since we lost the last 2, Mac hardly fussed, and we had an awesome dinner with uncle Paul when we arrived in Modesto.

Road trip

On the road again... heading to rich's cousin's wedding. Wish us luck. Only 8 hours left...

Little nugget

This little nugget was being fussy so I put him in a basically empty shopping cart with a toy cell phone and he played for the next 20 minutes without a peep. Oh the little things!

Play time

Mac loves playing with his sisters. Especially when they spend one on one time with him. Ryann is a lot more patient with him than Cara, but they are both learning.

Rudy's

Tonight we took the missionaries out for dinner at our favorite bbq place. I guess Mac already gave his stamp of approval.

5 year old

I plan on making a nice dedicated post to Cara for her birthday, but things are a little crazy so I will probably get it done this weekend. Let's just say she was spoiled and had a blast. Thank you to everyone who made her day special!

Climbing stairs

We have to watch this guy like a hawk! He is speedy and loves to climb stairs.
