Black bear diner

The girls finally won and got us to go to black bear diner. It was delicious and I tried as hard as I could to eat my breakfast/ dessert for dinner. 

The kids had a blast and we had a fun night. 

Weekend getaway

We were quite exhausted after the quick getaway but we were happy to do it!

This was a 4 day weekend so we hopped in the car and drove to rich's cousins in the mountains. It was a blast and the kids had so much fun getting dirty and playing. 

14 miles

We rode to Cory and Katie's house today. We played with the goats, ate lunch, weeded, and the kids got super dirty. Obviously it was a successful trip because on the way home both kids fell asleep in the bike trailer.

San Fran with Dan

I titled this post and Rich said, "who is Dan?" Haha. I laughed and he caught himself. Those are the fun jokes you play on each other when you name your baby a name that you don't ever use. So, rich, Daniel (baby Mac), and I went to San Francisco for a spontaneous quick trip to visit a friend from our old ward. Both of us have moved out of ahwatukee, but I visit taught Kyle for about 4 years maybe? It was great to see her and her husband and catch up.

Obstacle course

This afternoon was magical. We took a family bike ride to the grocery store to get dinner, then went to the park to eat it. At the park there was no fighting, all fun, beautiful weather, and am awesome obstacle course that I won of course... unless you talk to rich who says that touching the ground means you are out. Whatever. The kids had a blast and we wore them out so hopefully they will sleep well.

Eating out

We haven't been grocery shopping for awhile... So for lunch yesterday Cara ate chocolate chips and a bowl of shredded cheese... and we have been eating out at night with friends. Because of this we are hitting some of our favorite spots.

Especially sushi! We have found that Mac can eat almost as much as Cara in the California roll department. Which, surprisingly Cara can also eat a lot of.

Trip time

We were fortunate enough to take a quick trip for a family reunion... can you believe my kids are excited or what?

Splash pad

Instead of our typical swimming at someone else's house (ie pool crashing) wet decided to head over to a splash pad. Mac hasn't been a fan in the past, but he loved it! The girls had a lot of fun with him too.

Middle child

Poor middle child Cara was forced to play board games with us tonight.

Road trip

On the road again... heading to rich's cousin's wedding. Wish us luck. Only 8 hours left...

Temple lights

We went to see the Mesa, Arizona temple lights on Friday night. The girls loved it but towards the end they were STARVING which makes us all cranky. Over all it was a really fun time... even if we forgot a blanket for Mac.

What's happening

This is probably my favorite thing to do when I visit with my family. Well, getting my hair done, eating a lot, date nights, card games, watching cousins play together, and about a hundred other things... but you get my point. I love it here!
