Softball Halloween bash

This softball season has been pretty fun for Ryann. She is one of the youngest on the team with the least experience so she didn't get a ton of playing time, but she loves her sparkly pink helmet and her bat and singing cheers for the team.
In the fall they do anhalloween tournament. They got third place (out of four) but they got to dress up as zombie super heroes and decorated their dugout b
Cara and Mac liked that they could play with minimal adult supervision.

Softball

More softball fun. Every Tuesday and Thursday Ryann has a game. The kids love going and getting dirty and eating cotton candy (okay that was a first for us) and having fun.

Mac got his first black eye this week too. Well I think it was his first. This kid is so accident prone I have no idea.

End of a season

Softball is over so yesterday we played the last games and then celebrated. Cara's team got participation trophies but Ryann's team came in last place so as you can see by the picture she has had more fun in the dugout than playing. Boo boo. Hopefully she will still want to play next year.

Opening day

Opening day for softball was today. Ryann played second base for an inning and caught every ball and grounder that came her way. She was super excited and I think that will help her stay excited for more softball.
Also one of the moms made hair ribbons with "real diamonds" so that was awesome. And the sunflower seeds of course.
Cara had fun playing in the dirt. After her first time at bat she came back to the dugout and said, "okay mom. I finished hitting the ball. Time to go home."  Yeah not so much.
Rich coaches the 6 u kids so he pitches to them. He also said being a dad to 12 kids is kind of hard. He had over 4 miles logged after being on the field with them for a few hours this morning.
Mac was not a huge fan. Around nap time we had to pull out Netflix and that saved us for a couple more innings. That and playing with another kid's toys.

Overall it was fun and here is to having a great season!
