Bike bike bike

Cara learned how to ride her bike on Wednesday. So naturally she wants to ride her bike to school everyday since then. She can't use her breaks or start peddling without help. So this makes it quite difficult.
The first day I had to park every twenty feet and help her start again.  This morning I just ran along side of her to help her.

Fruit of our labors

Here are some radishes that the kids picked from the garden and tried to eat. Addie liked hers but the other kids thought they were disgusting.

They sure looked cute and were excited to try them though.

Garden update.

The garden is growing well. We have had cilantro and some radishes. We are having fun with it. Hopefully the peas keep growing well and we get a lot this summer.

Mac-isms

This little guy cracks me up.
He has tons of hair!
He often requests chocolate or cake at meal times. He talks a ton. He babbles a lot but definitely says words and sentences.
He can tell me the names of almost every train in Thomas the train. He can name Thomas, Percy, James, Edward, Gordon, Emily, cranky, and he loves Toby. It cracks me up.
22 months already??? Yikes. Next up, potty training!

Iread

Ryann finished a program in school called iread. She worked really hard on it and we are so proud of her.

Cheetos at church.

My mom gave me some grief about what and how much my kids eat at church. Well, it is lunch time and it keeps them quiet.
Survival parenting at its finest.
At least I didn't have to break out the iPad today!

Happy 6th

The day was full of "best birthday ever!" Followed by "worst birthday ever!" But at the end of the day she told me the best beat out the worst.  And the worst was only because she kept getting hurt on the bouncy house.
The day was full of candy, presents, cake, pizza, chips, watermelon, and everything wonderful for a 6 year old.
She had a blast at her after school birthday party with her class. It was a short party, but by the end everyone was worn out and there were a few years (mostly by ryann and Cara)
She had breakfast in bed, got lots of fun things and at the top of her present list was her new softball bat, her boogie board (a writing tablet from grandma), her fancy shoes, wallet, and then the list goes on and on.
Thank you to everyone who made her birthday so special. We love you Cara Kay.
