Finally she let me pull out a little tooth that was getting pushed out of the way. Then she was so excited she made me take a picture right then... blood and all. That's how we roll.

San Francisco
Wow. Yesterday was a fun day and thanks to my parents and rich for letting me play hooky and go into San Francisco with my friend Lisa. Lisa was in town with her husband who was teaching at a conference. On Sunday they came up to Napa and Monday I went to play with Lisa. It was so much fun. We went to pier 39, China town, the ferry building, on a trolley, and more. It was delicious and fun and lazy and just awesome.
Anyone else want to come visit?

SAHM
Being a stay at (my parents) home mom has some perks. I have more time to work in the girls' classrooms. Today Cara was sick, but I did get to work with Ryann. We had fun and she is super cute.
Also, I hear Johnny appleseed is having a birthday soon..so Ryann drew a picture of him.

Backpacking trip
5 kids, 5 adults, no one under 4. While it was crazy, it was also a lot of fun. We drove up to north lake Tahoe, but then had to drive around about another 2+ hours to find somewhere to backpack where it wasn't affected by the fire. We finally ended up near silver lake.
We hiked in about an hour to an awesome creek. Set up the tents, started fishing, caught our dinner, Then made dinner and ate it. Ryann ate the entire fish that she caught, like the entire thing except the bones. She ate the skin, eyes, and tail. Ugh.
That night Cara and I slept in the same sleeping bag and Ryann was in another one. Cara kept telling me all night that I needed to move over because, "my breath smelled, my bum was stinky, my arm was on her arm, or she was too hot." She is awesome. We slept fairly well, Cara had to pee twice in the middle of the night, and in the middle of the night the wind started moving fast!
The wind woke everyone up, but our tent quickly fell back asleep. My parents, Ashley, and Ethan, and addie didn't really ever get sleep. The kids were scared the tent would blow over so they were freaking out.
When we got up in the morning we ate oatmeal and hot chocolate. The kids tried to fish some more, but the wind made it hard. My dad and Cory set up some rock climbing ropes and the kids had fun with that.
Finally it was warm enough to play in the water! Waterfall climbing, jumping, and splashing wore us out. We decided instead of staying another night we would come home early. We packed up and hiked out.
Hopefully I will have more pictures later, once we find my dad's camera (hopefully we didn't lose it!)

Coco puffs
I believe I created a monster. When we get up I take Mac upstairs and put him in his high chair. He wants food immediately so I throw down a couple coco puffs while I make whatever for breakfast. Well he now likes coco puffs in oatmeal, yogurt, eggs, granola, whatever. He puts them in the bowl himself so that I will spoon feed it to him. Pretty funny.

Story time
I love this picture and this memory.
The girls keep laughing because grandpa makes up his own words. They are big enough to know which is awesome. Ryann keeps saying "go back and re read"

School carnival fun
We first have to thank auntie Ashley for braving the first 2 hours of the hot hot carnival with our girls and her kids! Yikes. She is sure amazing.
Rich, Mac, and I went to look at houses and then we came back just in time to see these crazy kids have a blast. Mac ate a cupcake, the girls had popcorn and cotton candy, we drank lemonade, we bid on silent auction items, played games, won tickets, and did everything fun that you should do at a carnival.

Groom's cake
The very last slivers of cake are tempting me at my house. So amazing and delicious were the cookies and the groom's cake. Pete was also a huge fan.
Wedding day
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Wolf! The wedding was fabulous and we had a great time. My grandpa Dean officiated, the flower girls were perfect, Mac slept through the whole thing, the food was amazing, and the dancing was spectacular! The day couldn't have been any more beautiful and the weather was just perfect.

Rehearsal dinner
We are so excited for Erin and Pete! Yesterday we had the rehearsal and dinner which was a blast.
The funny thing is I didn't get any good pictures of Erin. Oh man. I guess there will be so many tomorrow that out is okay.

6 mile bike ride
We went on a 6 mile bike ride a couple days ago. Cara enjoys being towed and she doesn't want to learn to ride a bike without training wheels yet, so she got a ride, but we had fun. Mac was asleep at home with the grandparents, so he missed out.
Towards the end of the ride Ryann was getting tired but she had a little burst of energy at the end. She told me, "mom, you know how I made it all the way home? I pretended you were a unicorn and I was trying to catch you."
Ummmm, awesome.
Whatever works my little big girl.
