Thanksgiving 2014

This year we had a wonderful thanksgiving with family. Cory deep fried a turkey, we read thanksgiving books, ate off grandma's fancy dishes, used the silver silverwear, had 3/4 off a pie for each adult, whipped cream mustaches, and lots of fun.

Turkey bowl

We played Turkey bowl yesterday morning and had a blast. I even got on a few plays, but with kids and the whole back and forth thing I didn't get any actual action shots. Mac was soaking wet by the time we were done because of the wet grass and playground equipment. But he sure had fun.

Watching the workers

Every week Mac likes to watch the men who work in the yard. He holds perfectly still and sits in awe.

I've heard people say their boots so things like this... but seriously it is amazing.

Sorry he doesn't have any pants on. This is the life.

Jedi training

Rich's childhood fantasy came true In Disneyland. Both Ryann and Cara were chosen for the Jedi training. They had a blast and Mac obviously wasn't impressed.

Big helper

Watching Vincent today Mac wanted to help. Which meant he pulled out and put back in his pacifier about 20 times. Vince was a great sport about it. They just laughed at each other.

Meet the characters

The girls loved meeting so many characters yesterday. Mac, on the other hand, is scared of them. He will only get so close by himself. If I hold him then he is okay, but it is pretty funny to watch. We dressed him as Mickey mouse yesterday, but he wouldn't wear his ears.

Disney day 1

Day one of Disney was a blast! The kids were pretty fabulous. Mac napped a couple times and the rides were fun.  Not to mention the food was amazing as usual.

Cara and her microphone

We were on a walk the other day and we stopped by some horses and a mule. Cara with one of her fabulous microphones (she got 2 for her last birthday) decided to interview the mule. "Can you say neigh?" Was her first question. Hilarious girl.

Favorite toy

Right now this is Mac's favorite toy. He loves it and will sit and play with it forever. He also loves balls and cars, but this is his favorite right now at 16 months.

Natural bridges

Before we left Santa Cruz we took the kids to natural bridges park. We saw the monarch butterflies and went on a nature hike. Someone kindly took a family picture.

Santa Cruz

I had a job interview in Santa Cruz today and since the kids had the day off we decided to make a family trip out of it. One night stay and you would have thought we gave them the world.

They couldn't stop saying this was the best day of their lives. They were so happy and a few times Mac would just lay belly down in the sand and wiggle his little body and laugh hysterically.

Driving home today we took highway 1 instead of the quicker way home. We stopped a few times to let the kids run around for more beach time.

Out to dinner

These kids love when grandpa and grandma take them out to dinner. I personally love not having to clean up afterwards, but these kids were pretty cute.

Seriously, these kids can't get enough of these kids.

Ward Halloween Carnival

The young men and young women of our ward put on a Halloween carnival. It was a blast and the girls loved having makeup on!

These pictures were taken by a friend in the ward and I think they were some of the best we got!  What a great week!
