Happy 6th

The day was full of "best birthday ever!" Followed by "worst birthday ever!" But at the end of the day she told me the best beat out the worst.  And the worst was only because she kept getting hurt on the bouncy house. 

The day was full of candy, presents, cake, pizza, chips, watermelon, and everything wonderful for a 6 year old. 

She had a blast at her after school birthday party with her class. It was a short party, but by the end everyone was worn out and there were a few years (mostly by ryann and Cara)

She had breakfast in bed, got lots of fun things and at the top of her present list was her new softball bat, her boogie board (a writing tablet from grandma), her fancy shoes, wallet, and then the list goes on and on. 

Thank you to everyone who made her birthday so special. We love you Cara Kay. 

First swim

First swim of the season and these girls lasted 30 minutes in the freezing pool!! They had so much fun. 

Just serve

On Saturday I took the kids to the local park and we did a service project for about 3 hours. I carried Mac on my back most of the time while we raked and shoveled bark all over the dog park. 

The kids did great. Helped awhile and played awhile. 

It was a good day teaching these kiddos how to serve others and not just themselves. Thanks to justserve.org for this fun experience. 

Happy anniversary

Rich and I were able to celebrate our 11th anniversary all day long. We didn't do gifts yet and just decided together that when we move into the new house we get to buy something for the house without question. I am thinking new dishes !!!

During the middle of the day we got free Jamba Juice with Mac. Then went about with chores and work as usual and then off to the softball fields.  

After softball we hurried home to go out to silos. A music place in downtown napa. One of our favorite musicians, John BraZell was playing so that was fun. 

I also got my new clutch in the mail today. The ven from Finell co. Smells and looks amazing. 

Now is usually when i post something super sappy about rich. But not today. Just know that he is amazing and I am so lucky to have married him! What an amazing adventure and blessing it has been.

Bike riding

The school the girls go to is doing a drawing for a new bike for the kids who walk or ride to school. Since Cara doesn't want to ride a 2 wheel bike yet I get to pull her along in the bike trailer. Fun times.  

Ryann loves to ride as much as she can. She likes when i follow her the best. 

Mac and the home inspection

Mac came with us to the home inspection today   He had a lot of fun until it hit nap time. But he was still pretty good.

Laughing Tears

I laughed so hard I almost cried. I will admit that pregnancy makes me a little... ummm... Gassy.

But I figured the girls didn't notice that much.

Rough life

Both of these kiddos were grumpy pants today. I couldn't help but laugh because we were outside in the gorgeous weather  on a gorgeous lawn with snacks and everything in the world in front of them. 

Plus it was Friday. You can't cry on Fridays. 

26 weeks

Cara and ryann each got to take a picture of my belly this week. I got a new dress from the loft outlet. It wasn't maternity but I love it. 

This baby occasionally gives me heartburn. Doesn't move very much so I love to sit and feel when it does move   The most movement is in the evening or at night. This week my longest run was 3 miles. I am usually doing 2.5-3 miles 4 days a week. I also started wearing a support belt when I run. 

I am definitely getting more tired but overall still feeling really good. 

Busy busy

This past couple weeks has been crazy. 

I accepted a job offer in clear lake, California. It is the original job that I moved out to California for. We knew it was right then and we were so confused where this journey was taking us. We knew we were in California for a reason and we never regretted moving away from Arizona, but we just felt like we were in limbo. 

I tried every day to be present in the moment and enjoy the time off from work and to spend more time with my children, but sometimes that is hard. 

So the past couple weeks I have been signing papers, taking classes, gathering documents, looking at house, putting an offer on a house and finally getting into escrow on a house!! Rich has done the brunt of the house stuff and I have done the kid and mom and trying to start work stuff. Whew. 

I will get a lot more pictures when we go up to hidden valley lake again, but for now here are a couple teasers. We have lots of plans and don't know when we will officially move, but this is really happening. 

The lord loves us and is watching over us. There is a plan and we need to just be faithful and it will all work out perfectly. 

Keeping it real

Sometimes you take them out for ice cream not because they were good, but because you are trying desperately not to yell and scream every 3 seconds. 

It is a nice reminder that you love them. 

And it gets them to shut up and stop fighting over who gets to hold the one library book that needs to be returned. 

Just keeping it real. 

Easter

So basically I didn't get any pictures except these on Easter. Well, there is always next year. 

This bottom picture is Cara wearing all of the 17 diapers that I got for a steal from a local mom. $50 for over $300 worth of diapers. So now I have more than double the stash in case I don't get Mac out of diapers before the new baby comes. 

Tulip festival: Ryann

This girl was all about pictures this day.  She was also a huge helper. She actually got interviewed by a local tv station as well.  

This silly girl also refused to wear regular shoes so she ended up totally muddy. Oh well. It was vacation. 

Trip home and 24 week bump

Our last night of the trip the kids had a blast in our hotel room. We ate at Denny's, swam in the hotel pool, I was able to work out, and the girls got to watch as many cartoons as they possibly could. 

We drove past mount Shasta on the way home so ryann wanted to take a picture. 

Then we stopped at Logan's roadhouse on the way home which meant I avoided McDonald's the entire trip (except for a nighttime ice cream run) 

We were happy to have a fun trip but happy to make it home to see daddy. 

Portland. Spring break day 4

Little Mac spent most of the trip tired. He always wanted his blanket and to suck his thumb. He was a pretty good sport even though he never got a real nap on the trip. 

After we checked out of our hotel we took the air tram in Portland to see the city from a distance. Mac loved it and the girls also had fun. 

Despite cara's face she did have a good time. 

Before leaving Portland we stopped at a toy store and bought some Easter basket toys.
