Temple lights

We went to see the Mesa, Arizona temple lights on Friday night. The girls loved it but towards the end they were STARVING which makes us all cranky. Over all it was a really fun time... even if we forgot a blanket for Mac.

 Ryann and her new bike. It turns out Ryann's bike is a little too big so she is having some struggles riding it, but we are working on that every day.  However, she does think it is the pretties bike in the world.

 Cara and her new bike. She won't get off this thing! She loves that it can go fast, she has crashed once because she wasn't using her breaks... but she has gotten better at this.

Christmas Eve

These kids had a blast on Christmas eve! They got new PJs and new stuffed animals from Grandma Mingo!

We tried to get some Christmas dress pictures after church.

The hair was messy, kids were tired, but at least the girls weren't fighting over Mac anymore.

First Christmas

To say that our family is excited for Mac's first Christmas is an understatement. We have tried to document every part of it.

The last bit of our to do list is to drop off neighbor gifts, temple lights, church choir performance, cookie decorating, and cuddle with my babies!

I think we will get out all done in the next 4 days. Merry Christmas!

Tooth fairy

At 6 years and 10 months old we lost our first tooth in the Hamilton house!

Ryann's tooth had been loose for awhile and finally yesterday she told me I could pull it, but only if I stopped when she said owe. She said owe after our was out! She was so excited and I guess I was pretty excited too.

Good friends

Last night a good friend from high school came to Arizona and we were able to meet up and spend the evening together. Sydney and I worked on our ten year high school reunion together (so happy that is over!) But last night we just got to talk and have fun. She got to meet baby Mac and spend time with the girls.

Countdown

Here is where we keep all of our presents until Christmas eve. This picture was 2 weeks ago and it is overflowing now. The girls are so excited.

This year I color coded the wrapping paper. The girls know the colors and I am quite shocked that they haven't attempted to open any presents yet. I probably jinxed myself now... but we'll see.

Best friends

Ryann loves to hold baby Mac. She also loves to get him out if his crib, which is a little scary still, but she is getting better.

They have a lot of fun together and it is so nice having big sisters for this sweet baby boy.

Best day of her life

Today was the best day of Ryann's life according to her.  It started out being calendar leader at school. Then I came to her class to teach art masterpiece. Then dad was mystery reader in her class.

After school we saw a beautiful butterfly, the weather was nice enough to play outside, and finally we went to her favorite restaurant for dinner: Hong Kong buffet.

5 Months Old

Yeah baby Mac! You still love to suck your thumb. 

You love to smile and laugh and play with your sisters.

Your weight gain has slowed down, now the 25-50%

Your hair is coming in fuzzy now, not exactly sure what color it will be yet.

 You are doing well eating solid foods. Rice cereal is definitely your favorite with bananas in second place.

 So far you hate sweet potatoes and avocados make you spit up.

Hopefully both of those things will change

 You still haven't slept through the night, but last night you did only wake up once! I keep getting my hopes up but then the next night you will wake up three times and dash all my hopes for sleeping through the night without making you cry it out. 

He is doing a lot of scooting backwards, rolling, trying to sit up, and spending time in his jumper. 

He usually falls asleep around 630 or 7pm, but it is hard to keep a good schedule with our crazy busy lives.

Checkers at Grandma's

One would think that since Rich is so good at Chess he would naturally be good at checkers.

 Right?

 Well, maybe there were some distractions and maybe his ugly movember moustache got in the way, but what can I say??  "I AM THE MASTER AT CHECKERS!!"

 Not really, I only played him once and I won, so I stopped there lest I be humiliated in the next game. 

Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa for the fun house with all the fun toys (like floor size, giant checkers)!

Wedding Dress Shopping

 While we were in California we went wedding dress shopping for my sister Erin. 

(She is the one sitting next to me on the couch.)

We had so much fun and no boys were allowed... except Mac.

He did really well in the city and was a happy baby. He was the happiest when we found Erin's dress!  Wahoo... spoiler... it isn't the one behind us with the crazy ruffle below the boobs. 

It was sad that we were missing my older sister Ashley, but she was there in spirit. Also not pictured was my mom, but we sure had fun with her too.

Actually I hate this picture, but it was the only one I could find that documented our day.

Santa Baby

Today my little Santa Baby went to his "4" month check up. His weight % is now in the 25-50%.

The pediatrician says he is a "calorie burner" which basically means this kid is always moving and she isn't worried that his growth is slowing. 

He took his shots like a champ. Cried for 5 seconds and then sucked his thumb.

 He took great naps, like he did last time he had his shots, but then tonight we had to give him tylenol because he just squirmed and sort of cried off and on for over an hour after putting him to bed. So hopefully he falls asleep soon and doesn't wake up too much for me tonight.

Gingerbread House

Cara has a sweet preschool teacher who makes 10 gingerbread houses each year, just waiting for the kids in her class to decorate the crap out of them. 

 Every year that I had kids it gets easier and easier to not care what the house looks likes. Cara had a lot of fun making this house and it is so "cara" to see half eaten pieces of candy on the house. 

 I especially love that I was able to take the day off in order to spend it with her. What a sweetie and baby Mac was excellent during the decorating time as well.
