Creative

Mac is getting pretty creative on how he drinks his bottle. He still won't hold it himself, but he wants you to feed him in a way that he can continue playing our doing whatever he was doing before it was time to eat.

Yesterday we even fed him while he was standing.

Little gamer

Ryann loves playing games... video games, board games, and even card games. Rich is always happy to play with her. Here they are playing a deck building super hero game.

Oops

Sometimes we wear our baby brother's pajamas.

10 amazing years

This is what ten years looks like. I never could have imagined what we would go through, where we would be, how happy we would be, how blessed we would be, and how much love we would have for each other after ten years. Really quite amazing I do say.

And for the twenty year to look back I guess I should say how we celebrated... we ate at sushi eye then went to the mall and walked around with our milkshakes until we found something we wanted to buy. A new watch for rich, matching fitbits, some new sport bras, and pjs for Mac. So romantic, I know. But seriously we are waiting until Mac is weaned to do a trip together.

YMCA rock climbing

I broke down and finally joined a gym. I realized that I want to get back to my pre baby weight and Mac is 9 months so I better do it. The temperature finally hit 100 degrees and I knew I wouldn't be exercising outside anytime soon.

They girls are thrilled. They love the kids care, the rock wall, the pool, and never want to leave when we are there. I finally have to convince them that I will come again so they can't be sad every time we leave.

Kite flying

We got Cara and early birthday present. A hello kitty kite. Unfortunately there wasn't great wind this weekend...
But when there's a will, there's a way. These cute girls ran their hearts out to get this kite to fly.

Ryann even said a prayer to get some wind for the kite to fly.

At the end, all Cara could say was "awesome" and "I hope someday I don't have to run to make my kite fly."

Happy Easter

What am amazing day today. The choir sang"this is the Christ" and it was beautiful. I am so proud of rich for directing it.

Even better was family 2 hour nap today!

I hope you all had a wonderful day.

First Easter egg hunt

Mac had his first Easter egg hunt today and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I think he enjoyed trying to eat leaves and the plastic eggs more, but he sure was cute.

Hoppy Easter

We love trader Joe's. We love the carts, looking for the bunnies, the flowers, and the fun places to take pictures.

Little man

Sorry this is always flooded with Mac. But I'm not really sorry. Look how big he is getting. Of course after I put this on, rich changed his shirt. I love my men!

9 Months

You are my sunshine.
Even if you are on a nursing strike.
Yes, he hasn't nursed for 2 days.
Well, he hasn't nursed on purpose for 2 days. I have been waking him up after he goes to sleep to get him to eat. What a stinker. Doesn't he know that he has to nurse until he is 1?
This big boy is 19lbs. He is my biggest baby to date. Cara was 18lbs at 18 months (or something close to that!)
He is a speedy crawler. He usually crawls on one knee and one foot, like he is getting ready to stand up any second. Which he does sometimes.
Mostly he stands up while holding onto things. Like anything. His favorite things to play with are still cords, also the computer, door stoppers, balls, and his little red car.
He is an excellent waver and will wave and wave until someone acknowledges him.
He tilts his head and smiles when he is flirting.
He still has 6 teeth but I can see the white spots on teeth 7 and 8.
Still sleeps great through the night, but naps are always hit and miss.
He drinks 2 8-10 ounce bottles at daycare and nurses 2 other times during the day.
He LOVES blueberries, mangoes, waffles, beans, and anything not banana or baby food.
I am still making him pureed baby food and he still eats a lot of that.
He makes the noises for maaa, daaa, yaaa, baaa, and sssss, sometimes a thhhhh noise as well.
He is a little more shy than the girls. He crawls off and comes back, where the girls would crawl off and never come back.
He isn't really interested in TV.
Wearing 12 month clothes.
Wears hats and doesn't take them off.

Ruptured ear drum

So Ryann was complaining of her ear hurting on Tuesday. She came home from school an hour early because of it. We gave her some ibuprofen and she was fine.

Along came 1 am when Ryann comes into our room in tears because of the pain of her ear. Prayers, ibuprofen, a blessing, and cuddles finally put this girl back to bed.

Then Wednesday morning she says she feels fine but she says her ear still feels funny so off she goes to school. I worked in her class for an hour and then went to run a couple errands. Instead of recess Ryann went to the library to read more books about horses. When I heard this I decided to go pick her up and take her into the pediatrician. And tah dah. Poor thing is on antibiotics and ear drops for the next 10 days.

After the doctor though she insisted that Mac get to have some fun and play on the playground. So she took him down the slide a couple times and he loved it.

Look at us

I hear this phrase not as much as I want to... usually they don't want me to look at the mess they are making.

My little gymnasts having fun outside.

Park days

Be aware that I am taking full advantage of this amazing weather, so you might see lots of park pictures on the blog in the next couple weeks.

Mac had his first taste of sand yesterday too. He "dipped" his breadstick in the sand. Awesome.

Marshmallow guns

We went to the school carnival yesterday and the girls wanted marshmallow guns. I figured rich could make better ones than the school could, so that was our Saturday morning activity. During conference the girls decorated the guns with special duck tape.
Thanks daddy!

Swings

First time on the swings was a success! Perfect park day.
