Halloween 2014

My girls had the greatest day. Wait, I had the greatest day too! Filled with parties and baboons and horse rides and candy and mummies and friends and more.

Even without our annual pumpkin carving party this was still an amazing year.

Hope everyone had fun and stayed safe.

Happy Halloween!

Ps... this is the first year my kids ever "t "traded" their candy.

Spidergirl and wagon rides

Somedays you really want to go back to bouchon bakery for the second day in a row to get another salted caramel macaroon... but instead you decide to be the good parent and play instead. Thankfully I did... because how often does spidergirl take your kids in a on a wagon ride?

More face paint

Seriously, these girls live for face paint.

We went to a trick or treat activity in Napa and they had balloon animals, pictures, cupcakes, smoothies, candy, and face paint. All free which was also fabulous. I made them their mummy costumes and plan on making one's for rich and I. They are pretty cute.

Restart to my day

I just realized this didn't post on Monday. Ooops.

Well, on Monday we had a rough morning. Things were going great so the girls decided we wanted to ride our bikes to school. Cara's training wheels keep falling off so she decided to ride the scooter, which I didn't know was broken. Ryann rides her bike while I try to fix our bike trailer. No luck. Tires flat but I can't fix it.

So I try to put Mac in the back of my dad's bike. I pump up one tire and off we go. Cara is going at a snail pace and then my chain falls off. After that happens my tire goes flat. Cara is crying, I am trying to push Mac on the bike and get to school in time. I send Ryann ahead and then my mom is able to hold my bike and the scooter and Mac while Cara and I run the rest of the way to school. We are late but then I realize Ryann hadn't gone to class yet because she wanted a kiss from me. Ugh. I was so frustrated and dirty and over it.

Thankfully I told myself to restart the day and the rainbow certainly helped that.

Cuteness overload

I haven't heard of there is a name yet, but this cute little black and white kid was born yesterday! She is a doll and probably one of the cutest things alive.

Congratulations Cory and Katie on your newest addition.

Go giants

While running on Monday I came across a freshly painted (aka graffiti) moose in honor of the world series they will be winning this year! Of course I had to take a selfie with it.

Jog a thon

The girls had their school jog a thon today. They had a blast. Cara is a good little runner, but after 20 laps she just walked slow for the next 7! (Each lap was 1/8 a mile so she did more than 3 miles)

Ryann on the other hand is having growing pains in her legs and has been "practicing" a lot for the jog a thon so get muscles were a little sore. She did 23 laps I think but she walked then ran then jogged then walked etc.

Both girls just proved to me that they will be able to do the 5k we signed up for in December. But we will continue to practice/ train of course.

After they ran they got popsicles. Jab was pretty upset when his popsicle fell to the ground.

Pumpkin patch

At the end of the fall festival we went to a pumpkin patch. We didn't buy any pumpkins, because grandma and grandpa have about 40, but we tried to see how much each kid would cost is if they were a pumpkin!

At one point Mac got stuck in the pumpkin hole and was pretty mad that I took a picture of him before pulling him out.

Fall festival

We took the kids to a fall festival today. It was nice and wore them out. There was a straw maze, heritage crafts, eco arts, native American village, horses, animals, hay ride, pumpkin patch, and lots more.

San Fran with Dan

I titled this post and Rich said, "who is Dan?" Haha. I laughed and he caught himself. Those are the fun jokes you play on each other when you name your baby a name that you don't ever use. So, rich, Daniel (baby Mac), and I went to San Francisco for a spontaneous quick trip to visit a friend from our old ward. Both of us have moved out of ahwatukee, but I visit taught Kyle for about 4 years maybe? It was great to see her and her husband and catch up.

Arizona wedding

My cousin Rob got married on Saturday and that was the reason for the whole trip to Arizona. I didn't really get any good pictures of the happy couple, and in my defense I was chasing around a toddler who was pretty determined to go swimming in the fountain.

With that being said, it was a lovely wedding and the girls danced the night away in their new dresses from grandma mingo. Congratulations to Rob and Veronica!

Phoenix temple

Yesterday we were able to go visit the Phoenix temple open house with the kids. It was an awesome experience and I love that we have had the opportunity to take them to two different open houses.

Progression of face paint

You better believe the girls are making me post step by step pictures of their face paint! This is a day that they want immortalized. If they would let me paint their face every day of the year they totally would. Who doesn't want to be a magical unicorn or fairy every day?
