Red white and blue

Mac and I dressed to celebrate the 4th of July yesterday. I thought we were pretty cute.

Corn dogs

Some days we need corn dogs. The kids agreed!

In my defense, they were turkey dogs.

Happy man at church

Today Mac was great at church. He sat in his own chair and ate snacks for over an hour. It was so cute.

He also swings his arm, like he is leading music, whenever a song comes on.

He is also cutting 2 new molars now.

All better

Last week this poor guy had fever after fever after fever. He was sick for 5 days. Then he started to cut another tooth, but that is now through the gums so we are back to happy baby Mac.

Except maybe we got a little too attached to mommy this past week and don't want anyone else. Oh well, look at that face, I will take it!

Happy Father's Day

This year my cute hubby and father of my children was spoiled rotten. Seriously. But Ryann and Cara wanted to make him work to get his gifts, so they sent him on a treasure hunt... after breakfast in bed.

We did a lot of fun stuff for him on Father's Day... my favorite gift to him is his new cologne!  He probably has a tie between the superman book and the 49ers hat.
However, he has yet to try the bath bombs from Lush :)
Maybe that will be his favorite.

Thanks Rich for being such an amazing father and thank you to my father for being the best dad I could have ever asked for!

Cleaning the church

It was our week to clean the church building and as you see the kids were great helpers... or maybe not... but they had fun.

Hump day

Wednesdays are always crazy days for me. Today I started out with getting the kids ready for summer school, taking them to school, mailing a package at the post office, taking care of a sick baby, picking up the girls, grocery shopping, running a couple errands for a friend, dishes, cleaning the house, making dinner, and somewhere in between all that I snuck in some time to spend with a friend at the pool.

also, during swim lessons, Ryann's tooth got knocked out. her top front teeth are pushing out some other teeth and I am thrilled that we didn't have to wait weeks of her wiggling the tooth for it to come out.

11 Months

I can't believe this boy is almost a year old!
My goal, as always is to breastfeed until my babies are a year old. 9 months was hard, but now that he has had a couple sick days he is back in full force nursing like crazy.
In fact, at 11 months he HATES the bottle. Even daycare is having a hard time feeding him a bottle.
He loves a sippy cup with a straw though.
At 11 months he likes to jabber. He says mama, dada, something that sounds like "three" when we play games with him (saying one, two, three), and basically the rest is babbles.

Mac likes to SCREAM as well. He usually does this when he is thirsty, hungry, wants your attention, it gets too loud, his sisters are around, we are in church, he wants to stand, he wants to be held, he wants to get down, or basically anytime he thinks it would be fun.
Because of the screaming we are trying baby sign language. Really I have only seen him do the sign for drink a couple times, I think he thinks that screaming is more effective.

Even with his screams he is happy. He is so much fun to be around and when we are in public he is one of the most well behaved babies I have had. He likes people watching, swimming, playing peek a boo, walking everywhere, and playing with balls.
Today was a little bit of a sad day because it was his first time going to urgent care. He had a fever of 104.6. I quickly got him ibuprofen, cold wash cloths, an ice pack and took him and the girls in the car to urgent care. By the time we got there his temp was down to 101... which ice on your head could cause that. And I have a feeling the nurse at urgent care didn't really believe me, but whatever. He ended up with a virus that we just need to watch and keep his temp down with ibuprofen and tylenol. Poor baby.
He also loves the dog at daycare. The dog is getting ready to die and hardly moves anymore, but Mac still crawls up to her every day and pets her. Cheyenne is her name.
At 11 months I also trim his hair every couple weeks. I don't really know what to do with it yet, but I trim around his ears and the back of his neck with Rich's beard trimmer... I haven't had to cut the length yet on top, but I am sure that will happen soon. Still not a lot of hair, but it is coming in all over now.

He still has 6 teeth, wears size 4 shoes, 20 lbs 9 oz, and in 12-18 month clothes. 95% for height, but I forget the exact number.

We love you baby boy!

Wedding fun

This weekend Erin had a bridal shower in Napa. I was planning on being there because I was going to already have been moved to California by now... But alas... I was here in hot hot hot Arizona and sad to miss her fun day.

However, I was able to go to the wedding for a sweet friend I met more than 5 years ago. We have been through a lot together since we worked together and it was awesome to see her on her special day. Congratulations Susan. The wedding was amazing and the reception was also fun... who wouldn't have fun with donuts for dessert?

Swim lessons

The girls did a week of swim lessons and they are loving it.
I haven't gotten many pictures because Mac takes a lot of time since he wants to walk everywhere, but Cara told me to take one of her doing push ups. She is so much fun. She also loves exercise.

Summer school

The girls started summer school. Ryann is doing sloppy slimy science, junior chef, intro to sewing, and creative writing. She loves it!

Cara is doing getting ready for kindergarten. Cara says it is boring. The first day she said she met lots of kids, but none of them were her friends. But now after the first week she says she has friends now. Her favorite part is recess and free play.

Church attire

This little man is so much fun to dress for church. No tie today, but we do have superman socks, black Tom's and his Darth Vader toy. (Along with goldfish crackers of course)

and I snapped this beauty of rich with his awesome necklace.
