31

Today has been amazing. What a great day to celebrate turning another year older. Started with pancake breakfast, 90 minute massage, new running shoes, pedicure, playing with my favorite kids, lots of Facebook messages, some new clothes, macaroons, a babysitter, dinner with my parents and husband, and ended the night with a Lindsey sterling concert!

Thanks for all the calls, texts, and love. I really felt it today.

Purple

Every day in school the kids get a level based on their behavior. Purple is the best for kindergarten, then green, yellow, and red. Ryann always gets green, but Cara is all over the place. She had gotten red 2 times in the past week.in order to fix this I talked with her teacher so we could figure out how to encourage her to want to be good.

Turns out dessert is the key! Red is no dessert or tv. Yellow is no dessert but tv limited. Green is dessert and tv. Purple is take you out for dessert.

It is working! Purple yesterday and green today. We are off to a good start. We celebrated with dessert before dinner.

Beach boys

For Christmas my parents got us tickets to see the Beach boys in concert. It was a blast and we had so much fun! We went to dinner before and that was also delicious. We had fun celebrating rich's birthday longer too.

Another lost lost tooth

My little Cara Kay woke me up at 530 this morning to tell me that her tooth fell out.

I congratulated her, told her to go back to her room, and to not wake up Mac or me again.

At 536 she was back in my room, "it's an emergency!" I jumped up, ran to her room, when she told me she lost (couldn't find) her tooth.

Ugh. Flash back to Ryann doing this exact same thing multiple times. These kids and their teeth.

I went back to bed after I promised to find her tooth in an hour. Which. I. did. At 645am.

Happy birthday husband!

Today I was excited to surprise rich with his birthday gift of a hot air balloon ride! Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we rescheduled for tomorrow. In order to make his birthday special we dropped Ryann off at school and took sick little Cara and Mac to the boon fly cafe for breakfast. Delicious and we ate and ordered way too much food.

We also had birthday donuts with a candle in it and took lots of selfies. Mac ended up covered in sugar from the donuts.

Happy birthday rich. Words can't express how much you mean to me so hopefully your day is fabulous enough that I don't have to even try to tell you how awesome you are! Forever and ever and ever. I love you.

Child labor

Ashley paid Cara to give her a foot massage two days ago. Ashley was getting her eyelashes done and Cara brought out the lotion and earned a whopping 35 cents. Totally worth it for the globs of lotion that weren't rubbed in very well and the 3 minute massage.

Hazel lasted about 20 seconds and then had to wash her hands.

Sassy pants

This cutest girl, along with Ryann, Mac, me, my mom, addie, hazel, and Devyn have all gotten sick with the flu this week. It has been quite miserable.

Rich was out of town when it hit, so we are hoping it will skip him. He has been taking vitamin c, on guard, and emergency drinks.

This picture was taken when Cara foray tried on her brand new sweatshirt from auntie Erin. Thanks auntie Erin!

Big news

We are pretty excited to announce baby number 4 will be joining our family in July!

Classroom help

I was able to work in Cara's classroom today and I love to see how well she is leaving to read! These kids get so big so fast.

Essential oils

I am slightly obsessed with my new essential oil diffuser that Erin got me for Christmas! Every day I put something new in. Yesterday I put in breathe for my allergies and it is the first morning in a couple weeks I didn't wake up with a sore throat!

I have a good friend that we sometimes chat about oils and how there is a possibility that we might be addicted and sometimes get in trouble for buying them. Oops. But I am a believer.

18 months

Happy 1 1/2 years old to Mr Mac! What a blessing he is in our lives.

He loves his movies. His favorite is the alphabet movie and he can say and recognize almost all of his letters.

He loves trucks, balls, wheels, blocks, and anything else boy.

He plays catch. Which means he yells catch as he is throwing something at you. Hopefully it is soft because this guy has an arm.

Blue eyes, dirty blonde hair, and he never stops running.

High fives while running in circles around the table is a fun game to play.
He eats the marshmallows out of the lucky charms.

Feeds himself most days. And can eat 3 packs of instant oatmeal. Peach or strawberry are his favorites.

He loves playgrounds and slides.

He can play by himself forever.

When he has to poop he goes into a random room and closes the door.

He has figured out how to open Hershey kisses and sneaks around Cara's room to look for them.

He is the perfect 3rd child. Couldn't have asked for a better, Easier baby. Thank you Mac for the great blessing you are in our family.

California winter

We had a couple cold days this week and then it seems to warm up nicely after school.

These pictures show you how different my girls are. Seriously...Ryann would wear shorts every day if I let her. Cara, on the other hand likes to bundle up.

Happy New year

Tonight we celebrated by going to sizzler.

Wait, that isn't celebrating?!

Just kidding. My kids were in heaven because they don't remember ever have going there before. Cara probably ate more there than I have ever seen her eat. It was awesome.

New year's eve

This was the first year our girls attempted to stay up until midnight. They both passed out around 11 and wouldn't wake up for anything! Not even banging pots and pans.

I love my heavy sleepers.
