My little gymnast

My Cara is getting ready to "test" next week to see if she moves up a level in gymnastics. Less than a year and she is hoping to move up to level II. She goes twice a week, loves it, and hardly ever complains.

Gymnastics and street tacos

On our way to gymnastics this little cutie convinced me to get her a couple tacos. How do I say no to street tacos?

This cute girl had fun playing dressup. She said she felt like cousin hazel.

Please hold my pea

All day long Cara has been carrying around this pea. I believe we sold the other two and the pod at the garage sale, but somehow this one spared the awful fate.
She has handed it to me about 10 times today and when she does she says, "please hold my pea" followed by a huge fit of giggles. I love this girl.

Toothless

I don't know if a kid has cried more than this girl over a tooth not falling out. It has been loose for over a week and she has stayed up until 10pm wiggling it, asking everyone to pull it out, dental floss, tears, prayers, and finally demanding that a dentist pull it out.
We went to our friend's house last night and finally a dentist pulled it out. Thanks to the Perez family!
I really wish it would have came out before school picture day because she couldn't stop playing with her tooth while taking pictures. But they will still be cute. And if not... There is always retakes. 😜

Ears pierced

Ryann got her ears pierced when she turned 6, so I told Cara she could do it when she turned 6. Cara kept telling me "maybe next Wednesday I'll get my ears pierced." So I didn't really ask again. Finally last week she demanded it get done. We delayed a few more days because I wanted to find a good place to get it done.

I kept comparing everything to ryann. Ryann's experience was amazing and didn't hurt her and the piercing parlor we went to was so professional. So then I found a local place for Cara and we took her. Well it turns out they don't pierce ears on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Cara was devastated and broke down in tears in the parking lot.
It was so sad that I said forget the plan, let's find a stinking ear piercing place asap. we drove down the street to a shady smoke shack that also does piercings and paid our 25$ and a gun piercing, tears, a free soda and we were out the door 10 minutes later.

I made Cara some "ear spray" with essential oils that has made her feel pretty good since then. So far I think she is happy with them and she sure looks cute.

Happy 6th

The day was full of "best birthday ever!" Followed by "worst birthday ever!" But at the end of the day she told me the best beat out the worst.  And the worst was only because she kept getting hurt on the bouncy house.
The day was full of candy, presents, cake, pizza, chips, watermelon, and everything wonderful for a 6 year old.
She had a blast at her after school birthday party with her class. It was a short party, but by the end everyone was worn out and there were a few years (mostly by ryann and Cara)
She had breakfast in bed, got lots of fun things and at the top of her present list was her new softball bat, her boogie board (a writing tablet from grandma), her fancy shoes, wallet, and then the list goes on and on.
Thank you to everyone who made her birthday so special. We love you Cara Kay.
