Hump day

Wednesdays are always crazy days for me. Today I started out with getting the kids ready for summer school, taking them to school, mailing a package at the post office, taking care of a sick baby, picking up the girls, grocery shopping, running a couple errands for a friend, dishes, cleaning the house, making dinner, and somewhere in between all that I snuck in some time to spend with a friend at the pool.

also, during swim lessons, Ryann's tooth got knocked out. her top front teeth are pushing out some other teeth and I am thrilled that we didn't have to wait weeks of her wiggling the tooth for it to come out.

Swim lessons

The girls did a week of swim lessons and they are loving it.
I haven't gotten many pictures because Mac takes a lot of time since he wants to walk everywhere, but Cara told me to take one of her doing push ups. She is so much fun. She also loves exercise.

Memorial day

For memorial day we spent it with some fun friends. We ate and talked and listened to patriotic music and thought about those amazing people who have served our country.

And we watched cute little Mac walk all over the place.

Little Swimmer

I got a cute little swimsuit for Mac when we were in Napa.

That swim session lasted about 2 minutes. The water was kind of cold.

p.s.  he hit the 10lb mark today!

Swimming at Grandma Great's

While in Napa we visited with Grandma and Grandpa Great. Mac enjoyed his time being snuggled.
Ryann enjoyed the diving board and cannon balls!

Neither girl would let me put their hair in a pony tail this trip, and I really didn't have the hands to do it anyway, so the enjoyed hair in their faces the entire time we went swimming.

Stitches... NAH!

Cara had her first swimming injury. She loves swimming now that she has goggles. She is a little fish, but not super safe because she doesn't ever really come up for air.
She swims with all her might to the edge of the pool and when she gets there is when she takes a breath.
We are working on that little safety issue.
There is another one though we didn't think about. When she jumps into the pool she jumps close to the side. Usually we watch her really closely, but this time she jumped and hit her chin on the side of the pool.
I brought her home to give her some stiches but I realized I was out of lidocaine. I looked at it a little closer and decided it would be just fine with steri strips and a Cinderella band-aid.
It isn't bleeding anymore, and it closed up nicely, but I guess we will see how it heals when I check on it in the morning.
A trip to urgent care just didn't sound fun.
I hope it doesn't scar you for life Cara.
